We are pleased to offer virtual wig styling and care classes via Zoom!
There are two types of classes available.
Client classes are for clients who already have a custom piece and wish to gain a deeper understanding of how to wear and care for it in a one-on-one format.
Public classes are for anyone, whether they have a CWC piece or not.
CWC Client Classes
Participants should have at least one wig or piece of facial hair created by Custom Wig Company.
These classes provide real-time instruction on wearing and caring for custom wigs and facial hair. They’re perfect for our clients with less (or no!) experience with custom pieces but they’re also great for those with more experience who want to learn more.
Please note that you don’t need a class to wear our wigs and much of the information covered in the class is freely available in our Wig Owner’s Manual and our Words of Wigsdom blog. We are also always available to answer questions about wearing or caring for our pieces via email.
However, many people find the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one class for a deeper dive and personalized guidance very valuable.
Care and Feeding of Your Custom Wig
For our non-Santa clients, this class will help them learn how to wear and care for their wig in a one-on-one setting.
Care and Feeding is a 30 minute Zoom class that covers:
- trimming and cleaning wig lace
- using glue or tape on wig lace
- troubleshooting wig application
- basic routine wig maintenance
- styling touch ups and preserving your ‘do
The class is geared towards you and your particular wig and there’s plenty of time to ask questions and get clarification!
Class must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
Cost: $55
Best for: clients with a custom historical, tribute, famous figure or cosplay wig
Wearing and Caring for your Santa beard (and/or wig).
This class is especially for our Santa clients who want to gain a deeper understanding about wearing their pieces and caring for them during the holiday season.
Wearing and Caring for your Santa Beard and/or Wig is a 40 minute private Zoom class that covers:
- trimming and cleaning wig/beard/mustache lace
- using glue or tape to apply wigs/beards/mustaches
- troubleshooting wig, beard or mustache application
- routine beard, wig and mustache maintenance during the holiday season
- styling touch ups and troubleshooting
There’s plenty of time to ask questions and get clarification!
Class must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
Cost: $65
Wig Styling Classes
These classes are focused on teaching foundational wig styling techniques for a wide range of applications. These classes will be most useful to those looking to style wigs for others or those who wish to have a broader range of knowledge for styling wigs of their own.
Styling classes are available to anyone, CWC client or not. CWC clients receive a 15% discount for any non-client class they book.
Wig Styling: Roller Theory
Not sure how to use rollers to style wigs or just want to pick up some new tricks and tips? Roller Theory and Technique covers:

- How many rollers to use
- Figuring out the right roller pattern for your style
- How to remove rollers and comb out the hair
- Troubleshooting common roller issues
Roller Theory is perfect for someone just starting to work with rollers to style wigs or someone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of all the ways rollers can be used for wig styling.
Class length: 60 minutes
Cost $100
Must be booked at least 7 days in advance.
Wig Styling Class: Style-Along
In this special class, you’ll pre-select a style for your wig and have a short email consultation with your instructor. Then you’ll receive a personalized styling plan, in preparation for your class.
During the class, you’ll style your wig in real-time, with guidance and feedback from your instructor.
The whole styling process will be broken down into bite-sized steps, with plenty of time for you to complete each one. You’ll be able to ask questions or get help with any (or all!) of the steps. If you’ve ever wanted someone to show you how to achieve a wig style step-by-step, while you could ask questions and get feedback, this is the class for you.
Please note that if your wig style requires the use of rollers, the class will need to be broken down into two sessions to allow plenty of time for your wig to dry.

Please note that some complex style may require roller setting and drying time and therefore may need to be spread out over two sessions.
